Following are studies in the Key of D...these can be fairly advanced...so take your time in your efforts to learn these patterns. With these scale studies, you will be developing both your left and right hand dexterity. You will become far more proficient at learning new material or taking on any musical setting challenge.

Notes: For finger placement, try to follow this pattern:

First Finger First Fret • Second Finger Second Fret • Third Finger Third Fret • Fourth Finger Fourth Fret
This will ensure that you're not limiting your approach...and will develop your dexterity evenly on your fretting hand.
