Take a close look at the curly (flamed) maple neck and headstock...a nice 3-ply maple rim makes this banjo nice and solid which also seems to contribute to its sustain. Well-made Gotoh machine heads and a geared 5th string peg set this open-back banjo off with just the right features. Additionally, this banjo has far more hooks than the average open-back.
